Obtaining build and delivery dates

Hi Guys,

First time poster, so be gentle . Approximately 9 weeks ago, I placed an order through my company's fleet provider for MK6 Golf 2.0 GT TDI. After reading some of the posts on here about delivery times and so forth I noticed some people have been getting their vehicles within 8 weeks or thereabouts for this particular model and have sought precise build and delivery dates from Volkswagen Uk.

So I was just wondering how if anyone in the same position (ordered a company car through company fleet provider) set about obtaining the detail they need to ask Volkswagen directly about their order?

I've asked the Fleet company and they keep stating the standard 12 week lead time and they seem reluctant to investigate any further as there has been "no futher updates on their system" so I'd like to do some digging myself to quell my excitement .

Any advice?

I was in the same situation, rather than relying on our fleet dept giving me the info I found out which dealer they were using to supply the vehicle and asked the dealer for the commission number. I then phoned VW customer service in Milton Keynes to obtain build date etc.

Talk about coincidence, I've just this minute had a phone call from the fleet company telling me that VW have informed them that there is likely to be another months delay (early dec now) due to delays in build they are experiencing with Golfs and Sciroccos but they were not given a revised build date.
