Wondering if any had any ideas what could be the problem and how to fix it.

Got a flat battery and got a jump start and now the fuel gauge is reading empty and the range reads 0 miles and I know there is about 3/4 of a tank left?

Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks Steve

Same happened to my car while in an Audi dealer getting my radio recoded. They managed to flatten the battery, then jump started it. When I complained that the fuel light was showing empty they told me I would need a new tank sender. You would think that a dealer would have known about removing the fuse. By the way that is what I did on getting home and it worked fine.

Hey up - if anyone's still reading this, same problem has just happened to me - got in car completely flat, luckily was already at me mates, so we jump started it now date & time has reset & fuel gauge & anticipted mileage is "0".
I've seen above where it says remove dash fuse, can you just confirm that its fuse "F15" which covers "instrument cluster & navigation system" (according to Haynes).
    Cheers
    Mick

Good grief, it's actually quite scary that a franchised dealer can be that ignorant/incompetent.

I have a problem very similar,

My fuel gauge is either well past the full mark or it can just sit in any position it likes (every day is different!!) The MPG reading is well out, it was reading 140MPG yesterday. I'm unsure whether the DIS readout is correct or not but it does seem to be pretty accurate so this is how i gauge my fuel level.

I have just tried the "reboot" and it hasn't cleared the fault, does anyone know what other problems may be causing my issue???
