    One web site I saw said that the anti- theft code may be four digits somewhere on the vehicle identification tag in the spare wheel storage on a 99 a4. Anyone know which four digits?

    Don't know for sure, but it usually comes with the service pack on a separate card. Never heard of it being part of the VIN, but I am usually wrong
    One German, Two Italian.
    It's a Mercedes Benzzzz though

    nope.. it comes on in the Radio manual on a little card you pull out..

    If you require the code.. Audi can get it for you at a small cost..

    Not heard that one - ive only ever had a small card with the manual, I'd go and see Audi or a ICE shop - they should be able to decode it quickly and cheaper
