good question, well presented!
someone will be along soon i'm sure,
not something i've given any thought to other than the fact that petrol and tdis
are usually of different HPs,pipe size could also be different.
some are front mounted some side mounted,---i'm going to guess NO.
it is only a guess, no good at all to you,hope you find your answer,

stick it on the roof and get some hoover tube to connect it up
anything to save a bit of cash
i know where you're coming from,if the fittings are the same then
it should be ok i suppose,
