    Yesterday I changed the front brake pads on my Passat V6 4Motion, now when I start the car the onboard computer beeps and tells me to check the brake pads. Does any one know why this is please?

    Either;

    The new pads you have fitted have faulty sensor wires.

    or

    There is a loose connection between the new pads and the cars loom.

    I'd double check everything, unplug the sensors and make them closed circuit (bridge the terminals) to elinate things on the car side of the circuit. Then test for continuity through the pad sensors.

    Thanks for help with this I did exactly as you described to no avail, however I sprayed the inside of the connectors with contact cleaner and this resolved the issue. Thanks for your help on this, without which I would have taken an age to fix. Cheers.
