I have a 2000 2.8 V6 Petrol Sharan with alternator or voltage regulator problems.

    Just fitted new battery.

Voltage across the battery poles around 13.0-13.5V just after starting the engine, but after about 30 seconds the voltage starts dropping gradually.

After about 1-2 minutes with engine running voltage drops down to whatever the voltage of the battery is when engine is not running.

Any clue what is going on here? Any expert help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Per
