Ok now we are up and running we can all add tips etc but no moaning about garages etc just mods and common faults/fixes and vag com coding etc.
I don't mind helping out with advise on retro fits and fixes whether you are a novice or competent as this is our club, I have worked for Audi for 20 years so I can offer advise but I'm interested on what we all think of the B6 compared to the other platforms of A4 as for me its the best for many reasons.

Experts and novices welcome.if I'm not on line please just crack on with it

Also if the mods allow please add for sale or wanted.

I think the B6 was built as a "quality" car and not for a price.
B7 was really just a facelift, I've not been in a B8 but my mate'a A5 is the biz...

Correct the B6 built the reputation and provided the vision to expand the brand.
The reliability of the B6 is unrivalled by the newer platforms but they were less governed by emission regulations and driver aids to cause issue's
The pump deuse 1.9 tdi engine had a large part to play in the B6 success with its reliability and power combined with good mpg

pdf link from the tdi club for information on the pd engine http://pics.tdiclub.com/data/517/114..._PumpeDuse.pdf

I have some more B6 pdf docs on the electrical system that I will dig out

You can count me in as the latest member of the B6 club...

Silver 2001 1.8 T Sport Saloon (163) only purchased 7 days ago so very much a work in progress, no mods so far although the car is already colour coded and has the lip spoiler & door fins.
Booked in for remap in 2 weeks time and currently scouring the earth for a s-line lower front bumper with some 18s to follow.....will have to be Audi replicas but can't decide which ones........

Been trying for ages to find the sline lower bumper spoiler, currently waiting for a response from a German seller.

Currently I have for sale a steering column control unit to allow cruise control retro fit, I have two but I have reserved one for Toff.

I will not plug any more as the mods will get me lol

02 plate 1.9TDi 100. Has done 108,000. The only modifiction I've made is that I broke the stereo trying to fit a multichanger (the stereo had been removed and put back in incorrectly by the previous owner) so I've not had any ICE since April.

Just had the cam belt and water pump done today. Also needed the v-belt tensioner, v-belt, air con belt doing as well. Not a cheap day.
