I'm new to teh forum. Have just purchased a 170 sport and last night was the first night drive. The dipped beam was very poor. With the projection adustment fully up the range on the light was as the side light on my old focus!

What i don't know is if they should be like this.... or not? Any one had a similar problem?

Mine is the same, the dip is poor. But not as bad as my X-Type, I had to fit HID's to this to even see the curb at night.

I think some of the guy's have fitted bulbs with a brighter output but I have not as yet, that may change in the winter if I find them too dim. taffybloke

Thought i'd check the bulbs and repared myself for the loss of skin on my fingers and hands. Didn't need to worry, they virtually fell out. Refitted them both (properly) and the lights work as they should!

Bought it from a main dealer and youd expect them to be checked!
