    Default RS4 B5 camshafts - are the chain sprockets part of the shaft? – 01-09-2009,09:11 PM
    My RS4 B5 has a noisy camchain on the left hand bank. Clearly the chain linking the camshafts needs to be replaced and probably the sprockets and tensioner as well.
    I have been told that the sprocket is an integral part of the camshaft and so the whole camshaft has to be replaced rather than just the sprocket.
    Does anyone know if this is this true?
