Hi all. Any advice gratefully recieved. Car recently started losing significant power at 3500-4500 rpm. It feels like the turbos switching off. Fault codes indicated an overboost. MAF checked and replaced but problem perists. Car pulls really well up to 3500-4500 and then acceleration very sluggish. Happens at different RPMs and occasionally not at all. Car continues to run and accelerate fine below that.

Recently (about sx months ago) fitted Forge Diverter Valves - any significance?

Any deas? What can be done without pulling engine?

Bit out of my depth here but reading forums some possible areas: wastegates sticking; n75 sensor; pipe from N75 to air filter blocked; boost pressure switch (does the S4 have one?); vanes sticking (are the S4s variable?); TBB leak (this was checked when we fitted new diverter valves); other pipe leak.

My mechanis is very knowlegable but is stumped. He has diagnostics equipment but is having trouble getting to bits if the engine to check things.

Am I looking at an engine pull (damn)? New Turbos (double damn!)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Alan

I had all the below codes and it simply turned out to be two one way valves in the vaccum system which where going ''both ways'' (one that supplied the braking system) so the upside was better boost and braking!! Got it serviced by IGS near Eastleigh today, cant recommend them high enough..

17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High

    P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

17539 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor: B2 S1: Internal Resistance too High

    P1131 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

17866 - Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor 2 (G236): Short to Ground

    P1458 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded

    P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

I wonder where the two way valves are? I have code 17963 with a new n75 valve and only 68k miles on a 1.8t.
