my 1800cc cabriolet has developed an annoying warning light feature. i have had the car checked and there appears to be no fault with the brakes pads discs fluids. however the brake warning light is a constant feature. any ideas as to how and where i might start to solve this. cheers john

i tried that and when the plug was bridged the light on the dash remained on constantly

does it work on a making or breaking of the circuit?

    thanks for your reply

Making. When you say constant feature, does that mean the light is on all the time?

The resorvoir switch, indicates when the fluid is low, they can sometimes,be faulty. The suggestion was to eliminate it.Do you know if you have break wear inicators on both of the front calipers. One other thing if you bridge the connector, with the ignition on,the control light will light constant.

i bridged the terminals from the reservoir plug and started the engine. immediate response from warning light. then i removed a front wheel and found the wires are attached to the front of the brake so i have no way of knowing whether they go through to the calipers on the back. so cant tell you if both inner and outer caliper is wired up sorry regards john
