    Hello there,

Can someone help me identify part in picture and suggest remedy!!

The engine cover on my 01 passat tdi came loose and from vibration and friction sheared a hole in the bend pictured.so im leaking deisel. is it the case that i can just replace the bend thats damaged or is the whole unit buggered??

While im here i may as well ask if anyone knows where i could pick up a replacement engine cover?

    Cheers

Can you give me the part number off the label? or what looks like a part number from the picture...

I will then see if I can find what it is.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, that's the union to the fuel filter, whether you can pick the union up separately I don't know.

Engine covers, probably a scrappers is the best bet.

I believe that is a fuel cooler. I looked at mine, it appears that the pipe is welded to it. It may be possible to braze or solder the pipe to repair the hole.

It's not the fuel filter! The part in the photo is attached to the filter by the bolt in the centre. The filter itself has no pipes attached to it!

    3B0 201 896 is not available as a spare part, you have to buy assembly 3B0 127 400 C which is £160.
