    Hi,

I have a 2003 2.8 4Motion Estate and wonder if anyone can help as it really feels like a boat and I would like a firmer ride without lowering the suspension. I don't mind lowering by 15mm or so but would like to keep to factory springs if possible.

A friend gave me some rubber spring assisters which would help when towing by preventing bottoming out, but I think firmer shocks and stronger springs are what I need.
    1. Do I already have the 'sport' suspension or not? How to tell? It's got nearly every optional extra VW offered, fitted from new.
    2. Lowering kits are all very well, but what to do if things need replacing? A whole new kit? Do the shock lengths vary?
    Many thank chaps.
