I`ve carried something in the back of my Avant that has scratched a 1cm x 3cm hole in the dark film that was factory fitted to the glass.
Despite a good googling I`ve not found any product that claims to repair such a scratch.

    Can anyone help?

    Dave

I dont think you can repair this sort of damage, it would probably be a case of redoing the whole window

I would suggest contacting a local privacy glass specialist, it might be cheaper to re do all the windows rather than spend loads trying to match one. They should be able to tell you if they have the same type or if it is easier to redo the lot.

the glass may have to be removed if it was factory fitted, then the film can be peeled or scraped off then a window tinting company will tint it to match, should cost less than £100 for them to do the whole thing for you

without being a bitch, if £100 sounds expensive to you, I'd suggest you consider changing cars, basic clips, grommets and niggly bits can cost up to £50 alone, tyres £80 upwards, servicing doesn't come cheap either.... etc etc

    Nice response, very helpful indeed!

I would follow the above advise and go get a metro or something and then spend £800 getting it through an MOT.

The chap would have to still do the niggly bits with or without said window repair.
