If it is something you can live with them i'd leave it. However to get a single window refitted with a matching tint shouldn't cost more than £50 IMHO, as i paid £150 to have all my windows done from the b pillar back. When done professionally you probabaly wouldn't know the difference.

    good luck

Having recently paid out £500 for tyres (let me know where I can them for £80 each please) and £900 for a service & cambelt....I`m well aware of the cost of running an A6. If I thought I would`nt scratch it again I`d probably have it done.

    Can anyone help?

Any "half decent" tinter will be able to provide an almost perfect match (close enougth to not notice) for the film. Its quite common to find the tints on the rear screen slightly darker than the side windows and in any case a slightly darker rear window shouldent be an issue. Its important though to note that the colour will be either charcoal or grey in most cases , matching the shade is more inportant than the visible light transmitance.

I have just been reading the posts on this and tried toothpaste, t-cut and fast glass. I scratched the side window on my 2014 A3 last night and decide to give Autosol a go as a last resort and it has completely removed the scratch and left no marks so maybe this may help someone in the future
