    please help ,our audi 80 tdi windows wont close ? some days they work but the problem has got worse ,so they arnt being used unless they have to be.i have checked the fuses but knowhere on the box does it mention windows? is it a relay problem and if so which one ,or are there any other reasons why they wont work?please can anyone offer some advice....thanks

    As far as I know there is a relay. located under tray on drivers side
    it is the largest you will find. Probably directly over your knee while sitting
    in drivers seat. Try operating windows while listening and feeling for relay clicking to confirm correct relay. If relay is not clicking at all try tapping the relay case while operating window switch.(The relay may be partly hidden under speedo area

    thanks i will try your suggestions ,the box on our audi is under the bonnet,if that makes any difference i dont know ,but i will try,thanks again for your time.

    i have just got back in having tried your suggestions and cant thank you enough mate,you were totally correct with your details and having just wiggled the relay from side to side the windows have closed ,i suppose a new relay will be the next move to stop this problem ,so thanks again ,wicked

    Check the connections haven't overheated... I've seen it in the past. look for any charred areas or smell of burnt plastic.
