    Can anyone explain to me how the quattro system in the R8 is arranged i cant seem to find any pictures of a really detailed cutaway or the engine, gearbox or quattro system extracted from the car itself.
    Any pictures would help too. Im a bit of a car nerd and like to know the goings on under the bodywork of cars!

    The gearbox is at the rear of the car as you can see from that picture. The drive comes back out of the gearbox below the input shaft. The prop shaft acualy passes through the engine sump and straight out the other side on its way up to the front diff..
