    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a boot liner for my Passat estate?

I checked with my local VW dealer who had an overpriced piece of rubber which looked as though it will rip/curl up when anything heavy is placed on top. They wanted close to £70!!!

I checked Ebay etc and there are a few but again is a boot liner at £15 (+£11P&P) going to last any length of time? I don't want to spend £££'s if a lower cost liner would work. It’s essentially needed to protect my boot when storing my Childs pram, shopping etc.

the problem with ebay is I can't whack it in the boot to see if it does fit. I don’t fancy buying one online and finding it fits if I cut a bit here or there. I would appreciate any feedback/recommendations from anyone who has recently purchased a boot liner.

    Thanks very much,

p.s. I did do a search on the forum but most entries had dead links.

I purchased the genuine vw semi-rigid load liner last oct. Its a great fit as expected however is now beginning to curl at the corners. It doesnt get a hard time (only golf clubs and dog), so wouldn't expect it to do this although its still ok.

Cannon used to do one for ot but cant find the link though. They do a universal one that can be cut to fit.

I got mine off ebay, think it was about £20 ish. Fits fine, said it was designed for this specific car - not a generic fit - and mine is the one with teh antislip middle bit, glad I got that one, as the plastic is a bit shiny and slippy, the dog would have been sliding all over the place.

Mine came from Eternalcar via eBay. Great fit and good quailty. Like Danski I rcommend the non-slip version.

You can get carbox boot liners from here http://www.roofbox.co.uk/carbox/
Then use the "Which boot liners and mats fit my car" link. We have a carbox liner in my wifes C-Max and it has been really good. But haven't tried one in the passat. Looking at the options for B6 passat estate the Carbox liner is £48.95, there is also an autoform liner for £34.95 which looks oks too.

My old man has the VW semi-ridgid thing and its pants!

I took a gamble and bought mine on fleabay and its actually very good. It has the anti-slip stuff which seems to work! ( Cant remember what the shop was called but it sounds like the same as danski and mikecb1)

    Holy thread revival Batman

Dunno if they do them for B6`s, but try Hatchbag, based in Liverpool I think - had one for my Golf GTD that I had after my Passat B6 (its that long ago the Golf has also gone and I`m on a Caddy Maxi Life now). They do cost a few quid though.

Cant believe I got a notification on a thread so old !!!!

I use a piece of blue tarpaulin (matches my Shadow Blue paint) from The Range for just a couple of pounds or so. You can either fold it over the boot mat itself or fold it up the sides and hold it in place with sticky-backed velco tape. Easy to wipe clean and looks really smart - especially with an additional LED light wired in above.
