  1. Multi-tronic gearbox issues !?

    Hi there , I have a A6 2.4 petrol, 2001 model which I have owned from new. It only has 52,000miles on the clock and has developed an issue with the gearbox tripping out.
    I had this issue a few years ago, when cold and on full steering lock the gearbox would trip. this was traced to the vaccum hoses going to the 'combination valve for the secondary air', as these hoses had split which I understand is a common issue on the 2.4. As soon as the hoses where changed the car was fine.
    But today the gear box tripped and I was unable to get it to reset by switching off the engine. I was however able to operate the gearbox using the toggles on the steering wheel to change gear. When I got home the gearbox reset and it seems to working ok. No perished hoses this time, sadly to say as this would be an easy fix.
    Running the diagnostics, this is what it shows;
