does anyone else find the way the socket points upwards a pain in the a**e?
as soon as i plug anything into it, the plug constantly gets in the way of gear changes.
it does look the part, but it's totally impractical!

Before I installed my RNS-E the cig lighter was a pain!

However, to overcome this I installed two 12v cig power sockets just behind the dashboard above the fuse box behind the the drivers side access panel when the door is open. They powered my Snooper and TomTom without all those wires everywhere. Parts were a couple of quid from Maplin.

I added a fuse in the fusebox to feed these sockets independently - this feed is only powered when the ignition is on.

The Snooper is still in place, removed the 2nd socket once I went over to an RNS-E unit.
