    hi guys...i have a 2003 a4 avant 130 1.9 tdi qs

very happy with it...have got new badges, number plates etc to spruce it up so it looks a bit posher than it actually is.

i love the interior...all black with wood bit...nice touch i reckon.

the seats are half leather, half alcantara (i think that's what they call the suede stuff, isn't it?)

the only thing is that the driver's seat alcantara inset is a bit worn...the only thing that lets it down when i've cleaned and polished her.

can anything be done? anyone know anything about a partial re-upholster? swap around maybe? cheapish...any ideas?

    all thoughts appreciated as ever

    cheers

suede brush, just work it gently in all directions and the pile should come back up.

be patient though and dont scrub at it!!

thanks, marcl, but i think the passenger seat is beyond that...its not so much crushed as just worn down.

might try it though...definitely on the other seats as they look pretty good. not worn at all.

i really love this car. had a saab 9-3 before and never really fell for it...it nearly died in the end, just about got it to the trade in!

I had exactly the same problem. Get hold of a product call Autosmart BRISK and use it with a microfiber cloth. It looks like its 'worn down' but it is in fact just grease and muck sticking it all together!
