RNS 510 in a Golf Mk V

Hi all,

I had hoped to replace the RCD 300 in my 2004 Mk 5 Golf with the new RCD 510, however, it seems that the Canbus adaptor is incompatible causing the stereo to drain the battery.

My question is whether this problem also arises with the RNS 510, or whether it is possible to do a straight swap for the RCD 300 with the new RNS 510?
