Hi all, my first post here so sorry if it is wrong place. I have a 2009 reg 1.2 Seat Ibiza SC that needs the service light resetting. I cover a lot of motorway mileage on a daily basis so the services come about every 14 weeks.I am loathed to use the dealer as I was ripped off by them and wanted to know if there is any way to reset the light manually after I have changed the oil/filter etc or does it need vag-com software. If I need software and cable does anyone know which type and where I could obtain them from.

    Thanks Mark.

Had car serviced at garage today and they told me how to reset service lights manually. I will post again later some pics and information on how to do it. Hope the info will be of some value to others in the group.

Finally cracked it. No pics required.
Here goes for anyone who might need this.

    1. No ignition on
    2. Press trip reset button and hold, turn on ignition but do not start car.
    3. Release trip reset button
    4. Press left hand button twice.
    5. BINGO this should reset service light back to 10000 ish miles before next service.

Hope it works for others cause it does for mine.
    Mark
