    hi
i have 1997 vw sharan 2.8 vr6 which was left idle for two months this winter. on return it has developed a shuddder on braking. Brakinng is not compromised ata all and car still stops in a straight line. Problem seems to be worse when the vehicle has no weight in it. had a look underneath thinking i would find some thing pretty obvious like a worn bush or dammaged anti roll bar. but everything looks good. suspected rear shock absorber but these are good too. anyone had similar probs or any ideas????
    cheers

My A4 is regularly left standing for about a week or so at a time. I have a similar problem and have put it down to the build up of surface rust on the disc.

quit likely. the discs rust, but not under the handbrake pads when the handbrake is on. give it a good few hard applications on the brakes to see if it clears.
