    Pretty sure I read the pars are about 740, but then your labour would be a killer too.

    I did't really know how much they cost, that just shocked me a bit there

    Not inevitable, more probable. There is no point doing the oil pump on its own, the balancer shaft assembly must be done as well so you are talking close to £900 of parts plus a days labour.
    Anthropogenic climate change, the biggest con inflicted on mankind since religion...

    does any one know the chassis range or the year range that is affected and is it the 2.0 140bhp tdi.

    The dealer must check with the Service Online or Fish (VSI)system, whether the vehicle's chassis number is affected by the campaign 13D8,It is however regarding the 2lt engine

    Replace the spur gears of the balancer shaft modul. On some vehicles with the 2.0 lt diesel engine the bearing free play of the gear wheel is reduced on the balancer shaft module because the hub is deformed.In isolated cases this may lead to ,premature wear of the gear wheels,and can result in oil pressure failure.

    aaman - have a look at the jack cover in the boot. There might be a sticker on it showing 13D8. Mine's got two for different recalls.
