    The car is jerking under load (when accelerating), it feels the same as a petrol car with a misfiring spark plug. I have had the car at 3 different garages and no one can find the fault. It doesn't show any diagnostic faults. The car doesn't smoke, pulls strongly and has just passed an Mot. The average fuel consumption is below average for this car.
    I have already replaced the following;
    1- Air mass meter
    2- Diesel filter
    3- N17 Gate valve
    4- Injector wiring loom
    5- 4 x injectors
    6- Air filter
    Can anybody please help?!! The car has cost me loads of money up to now and I don't know what to do to fix the problem.

    Four PD injectors! I am not surprised you are upset as they must have cost £250 each plus bolts and fitting… I am surprised that a new loom and injectors has not cured it as to me that is the loom at fault.

    Thanks Crasher. I found 4 injectors of ebay, but that made no difference!

    The only thing I can suggest is trying another ECU, preferably a used one.

    Measuring Blocks 013 and 018 to be precise but apart from checking that all are 0 in 018 there is not a lot to tell from those in 013. I have seen figures all over the place in 013 and the engine running perfectly and conversely spot on balances in 013 of no more than 0.50 either way and the engine running like a dog and still showing 0000 in 018, very frustrating even with a full new genuine head and a misfire, the dealers GFF failed to pick anything up and it turned out that two of the four brand new pre-installed genuine injectors were faulty, in a £2.5K head! After that debacle I now buy pattern new heads and injectors from Bosch without an issue yet, the way VW UK handled that problem was an utter disgrace…made me ill and I am nothing joking!

    I think,if i remember correctly,you get a more reliable reading in MB 23 (not sure),as MB 13 and 18,freeze,with an rpm of 1500.
