    Hi all,
I have an issue with my TT's speedo and fuel guage.

The fuel guage is flickering between 1/4 full and half way in the red. It flickers quite quickly as im driving, but the mileage range stays static.

The speedo has also died and stays on zero mph.

These issues both started today at the same time.

Has anyone any ideas or experienced this problem before i start replacing parts?

    Regards

    Phil

Common issue, the cause is the dash insert and contact Audi as they still replace the insert under goodwill policy but you must check your vehicle meets the criterion set out for the freebie.

Its not stopped,i replaced one last week. The claims are based on the history of the vehicle and only one insert can be claimed.Owners need to contact Audi customer services or there local dealers warranty clerk

    All,
    Thanks for the info!

I have it booked in at my local dealer and they're going to take a look.

I have quoted your responses regarding the free replacement unit and they seem quite obliging to replace FOC providing that's the issue.

I bought the car from new there so i know there's never been any previous issues with the unit!

    Thanks again...

    Phil

MMMM bit worried about all this. Ive just bought a second hand TT (2003 150HP)from a a local dealer(Not Audi) and the petrol gauge is not working correctly as it shows 3/4 tank when the digital readout says 30 miles remaining before fuel required, the garage I bought it from said AUDI garage wanted £800 to repair. £300 for the part and £500 labour!!!! They are footing the bill as I bought it like that but they are fitting it themselves and not paying the £500 labour for Audi to do it..
I ve only joined this site today as was looking up Turbo lag which is a new concept to me. I will obviously do some research on this site but anybody wishing to explain is more than welcome........ the clutch appears top slip before the turbo kicks in...ie the engine is revving but no accleration until about half a second later.is this normal and is it called turbo lag???

Regarding the TT fuel /temp gauge problem.
I have been working on this for a couple of years and finally have got the problem solved about 3 months ago.
It is a software issue on all Magneti Marreli clusters fitted to Audi`s
Also the loss/partial loss of display
    rev counter , speedo
    flickering etc

I have repaired about 20 to date all 100%
