Broadband Speeds

ive got 4 sky+hd boxeswith everthing but sport , sky bb unlimited and anytime calls bb at just under 10meg which with xbox and 3 laptops plus couple of iphones for less than 100 quid a month got sick of being capped at 2 meg by virgin and will stay with sky til i get my free infinty when it comes to my exchange area and 300 meg by spring next year

Wow! You can't have been on wifi to get speeds like that, can you? The connection between my laptop and router is only 130Mbps!! I would guess you have a wired gigabit connection? Getting speeds like that at home would be truly incredible!

here is mine just now. A bit lower than normal....strange. Thats through a 1gigabit cat6 ethernet cable.

A6_chris i would love to have speeds like that!! I wonder how easy it would be to dominate the gaming community? Thing is, PING is equally as important. I have posted in this topic already, but I believe that was pre- 21CN upgrade from BT. Even more I have upgraded to fibre optic broadband, which can have a max of 40mbps.

Im pleased so far with my Sky BB. Line learning is due to stop today and results are looking promising compared to my old BT connection. Speedtest done there now.



I can certainly notice the difference between Sky and BT and having numerous devices connected and using the connection at the same time, the connection hasn't dropped (yet).

I still can't get Virgin Media, which would be my choice if I could but this will have to do for the meantime

Nope still can't fibre optic in my area, just normal adsl.

The 300mbps isn't mine, it's my works ISP.
