  1. Passat recall again!!!

    beclee Guest
    Hi all
Ive recently had my baby serviced at the local VW centre. The service was the cheapest to date £150. However, they have carried out two recalls. One was :-
    1. Petrol pump
    2. Some gear thing which I think they said was on the gear box.

My question is, does anybody know what this gear is they have replaced and whats it does?

    My car:
Black 56 plate 2.0tdi 140 se passat. 20,000 miles on the clock.

    cheers

    Lee

Also can you just ring VW and ask if any recalls / upgrades are available for your own car

    2. is the gears driving the balance shaft I would guess. Recall 13D8.

Have a look at the jack cover in the boot and see if there are now a couple of stickers there.

That made me laugh too. But to be fair, I always say that I'm going to the 'petrol station' even though I fill up with diesel obviously

Maybe that's why they all failed in the first place - we've all been driving round with petrol pumps in our diesels !!!.

Perhaps it was an honest mistake by the OP?
