'99 passat b5 estate rear speakers n tweeters

does any body know where i can get a set of rear speakers and tweeters for the said car above, the raidio doesnt have the fade function between the rear and the front so im wondering how easy it would be to install them.

I'd be looking at the same thing for my 2002 Bora. You probably have a Beta head unit (should say Beta on the tape flap) which only supports two speakers anyway. You can find a set of after market woofer/tweeter rear speakers such as these which would fit but they'd need to be wired up to your head unit (you can find VW Gamma head units on eBay which support four speakers for under £30). I think the wiring up is the expensive bit as it's probably time-consuming. My thought would be to ask at a local Halfords or car entertainment specialist near you for quotes.

ah thank you very much, i will go down halford on monday when im not busy and get a quote, i will have a look at the head units on ebay, trouble is we dont have any of the codes that originally came with the car, not even they key code so im not sure how i would get around it
