    Hi I have just joined the forum and wonder if any one can help i had a rear wheelbearing fitted on my 1999 s4 and now when I press the brake pedal i get a banging sound I have check every thing is nipped up and it is , and there are know abs lights on can any body help

    Repeated until you stop. I also had new rear calipers and pads fitted at the same time...

    Do you get the feeling it is per wheel revolution and one side or the other?

    I wondered if you were a Bowker from Lancashire?

    It only happens when i press the brake pedal it feels like something is loose but i have checked everything.

    You need to get it inspected as it may be dangerous.

    Have you checked the hub? Also is the disc correctly aligned and not warped? Sounds like the disc is not running concentric and when you brake it is pulling it into alignment with the pads.I,ve had this happen on another car.
