Hi I have an Audi A4 51 reg that I need to sell on, it is SORN'd at the moment as I have been away for a couple of months. It's MOT is out too. Anyone got any ideas on the best way to flog it quickly - ideally I want someone to come round and take it off my hands!! I'd be happy for them to make a few quid out of it, which I'm sure they could! By the way this isn't an advert, I'm just looking for a hint on what I should do next. FSH up to the SORN, ~115k miles, Diesel, 6 CD changer. I've had the car since new (it was a company car) and was given it as part of my severance. Thnks Jon

    Jon,

It all depends on how much you want for it?

Give some local car dealers a call, and see which one will give you the most for it.

    OR

Take it to your local car auction, you will get trade value, though if your lucky you will have a few private bidders looking at which would push the price up into book.

    OR

IF you have the time, give it a quick check and put it through an MOT. That way it is more desirable, then put in the local free ad paper. It may take longer, but you will get a better price.

Wish you were near me LOL !!!

    Hope that helps,

    Regards

    Richard

Get a MOT, it is a mojor down point to selling a car. even if you drop the price propective buyers assume there is something wrong.

if you contact Just VW Audi near Coventry they maybe able to sell the car for you. They have a sale or return scheme which means theyll come and get the car and sell it on your behalf with a no sale no fee arrangement. you should get more than auction price and no hassle. If anything needs doing to the car (like an MOT)they should simply deduct it from the final sale price. www.justvwaudi.co.uk
