Nope... does not make much sense...

Is it a saloon, Avant or Cab?

I take it you mean there is a gap between the front and rear glass door glass on a A4 cab when the windows are closed??

    Can you re explain..

    Rick

Ok, word of warning, if you do this incorrectly you WILL shatter your window (I DID!!!)

Make sure the window is fully closed

    Remove speaker cover:

    1) the wood trim - insert screwdriver under front of the trim and prise out - clip at rear has to be moved out
    2) remove speaker cover

Behind the speaker cover you will see 3 holes in the absorbing trim - 2 are above the speaker, the third is actually behind the speaker

    3) loosen these 3 nuts
    4) Adjust window to where it should be with the door closed making sure the glass is level at top (have someone help you hold the glass) - make sure the gap on the glass plane is equal from top to bottom.

    5) Tighten the 3 nuts but be careful not to overtighten - according to Elsawin the torque should be 6NM.

    6) If you have a gap between the door window and the rubber strip on the rear window loosen the big nut behind the speaker

    7) remove the side trim and rubber strip on the inside of the window and loosen the 2 black nuts underneath it (goto http://www.wit-usa.com/sms/db/smartt...a4_v1.2/en.php for instructions on how to remove side panel)

    8) adjust so there is no gap by moving the whole window mechanism out.

    9) Tighten the nuts and then tighten the big nut behind the speaker (2NM)

    10 reassemble the speaker cover

    Should only take 10-20 mins

BTW, if you have not done the smarttop mod do it - it makes the roof much more usable:

    a) close roof while driving at up to 25mph
    b) close roof from key fob - roof closes and car locks while you walk away
    c) open roof from key fob
    d) one touch open/close using switch

If you need any more info let me know.

    Walter.
