  1. 80 front subframe bolt torques

1994 80 Sport SE saloon 2.0 8.v. I have just replaced the front wishbones, 4 subframe bushes and the RH g/box mount due to excessive tyre wear and poor handling. The car is so much more stable now, but I have a loud KNOCKING from the LHS when in 1st gear and going slow over uneven ground and down pot holes. The shocks, top mounts, drop links and track rod ends were replaced 8000 miles ago. I checked the lower wish bone ball joints when I fitted the new wishbones and these seemed fine. Any ideas ? ALso does any one know the torque setting for the 4 subframe bolts? My local Audi main dealer will not tell me and there is no Haynes book for this car. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Haynes wont give you the torque settings either but if you still want to get it the manual from oct 1986 to 1990 covers most stuff on all the audi 80s up to 1995 with some variations also did you replace anti roll bar bushes?

I managed to locate the cause of the knocking. Turned out to be shot lower ball joints ! Having replaced those, now need to check camber and tracking.
