am looking for a A4 cab, was looking at 3.0's but seen a few 1.8T ones that look great, whats their power as standard? and what are the first options to give them a bit more go? Im guessing chipping them?

    Any advice greatly appreciated

Most of the 1.8t's are 163hp in the later car's With a remap on and running good fuel you should see over the 200hp mark.

    Thanks Mike

Cheers Mike, by remap do you maen a chip? Apologies my car tuning history is from cosworths and Fords (cringes) and chipping them was the first stage of tune, is this what you meant? What sort of money would a 200bhp remap cost, from a decent tuner?

    Many thanks again

About £350-400 from a decent provider. Make sure they can back up their claims though. Some say you will get 200 bhp and its nowhere near. Some also say it and give it in one thump..........eg all the power comes in at once not progressively.

There are two or three that will do the job. Make sure your camblet etc is up to the job.

I'm in the process of getting my 1.8t Quattro remapped, had a few prices quoted latest being £360 for a Revo remap taking it to just under 200bhp with 225lb ft torque.

Also got quoted £275 from Angel tuning to add up to 40 BHP and 40lb ft torque - taking it to around 205lb ft torque

Anyone else got any suggestions/recomendations? I'm up in the Aberdeen area so it a bit more tricky than anyone else down in civilisation ..

I am down in Glasow on a regular basis though and have spoken with Celtic Tuning in clydebank ??

Any info on either Angel Tuning (Edinburgh based I think - but travel and to mobile tuning) or Celting tuing ... my first option in Checkpoint in Aberdeen - who say Revo is the best .. but they would!

I'd look at the sponsors on here and their feedback.

Or for the same money as a remap buy a Rover 220 Turbo and get 200bhp as standard and 215lb ft of torque + a faster car!

Saw a good review of Angel Tuning the other day. A bit further down the page on this forum somebody got a 2.5tdi remapped by angel tuning and seems impressed with the result.
