I have a 2005 T5 Transporter 1.9 TDI 85ps and I have a problem with the clutch. It seems to grab when lifting the clutch pedal to set off, its as though its either off or on and there is no progressive engagement. However if you let it idle in neutral for a few seconds with the clutch pedal out before you set off, or you lift and dip the clutch pedal twice to set off, the clutch operation is really smooth.

Any ideas before I take it to the garage.

    Stuart.
