Laddie, what sort of mpg are you getting?

Also what mileage has it done, theres seems to be wuite a few withe bigger mileage, but at really quite sensible money.

On the dis I am getting an average of 39.4 mpg and that is with some heavy driving I do let it warm up properly on a morning but the auto climate is on constantly.
I paid 7450 for an immaculate 03 plate 60k miles with 12 months warranty, road tax, full audi service history from a reputable garage

Have you got full leather in yours, laddie. Theres some abot at good money when you start looking!

Hi Jo,

yes mine has full black leather (nappa i think) and still smells like new - leather is ideal when you have little ones!

There are plenty of these cars about - so would be very choosy- i would rather pay a little bit more for one that has all the 'expensive' bits done.

You must check that the CVT gearbox oil was serviced at 40K or before, Cambelt has been done and i believe that there were some expensive problems with fuel pumps on earlier models.

dont let any of the bad press put you off - this is an extremely good motor.

Well, a lot has been happening since i last posted.

It turns out that the car had the dreaded faulty clutch and was replaced with the 7 plate one - it was like driving a different car... for a week. It then started clunking when going from R to D.

It went back to Easigears in Stockton for testing - no faults were found on the gearbox.... it then went to a VW / Audi specialist who have diagnosed the engine mounts. Apparently, these are oil filed (?) and must have been disturbed when the gearbox was removed for the fitting of the new clutch. The garage is replacing all of them.

This really is a lovely car but i think that she is going to have to go, i paid nearly £7500 for her in March this year - it has spent 5 weeks in the garage waiting for the clutch to be done. I have filled it up 5 times since the day i got her. It really is in immaculate condition.. Any offers???

i have the same vehicle , to live with i'd have to say brilliant but then i also drive landrovers that i compare it to, a lot of fun if you like fast corners although auto mode doesnt find the right gear to exit corners, get used to the manual option and flick up and down the gears and you'll love it.. mpg is all about how you drive , drive it hard and its crap 18-22ish..
