DTUK tuning chip, thoughts?

Hi all.

Just bought a '99 Bora 110.

Have been looking at a 'piggyback' chip from DTUK. The type that plugs in to the loom 'in series' and has a box that does the business.

Basically wondering if they're any use? I know the only proper way to get it done is a remap, and that the cheap chips aren't worth the time or money. But £300 isn't readily available just now!

AFAIK stay away from the cheap nasty stuff on flea bay!! half the tym the products dnt work as they should

DTUk is very popular with the Astra vauxhall boys, have alook at some of there sites

Thanks for the info guys, real helpful con1981. A few threads in Vaux forums reckon they do actually work.

Kinda goes against my theory of anything that plugs in bein nothin more than a resistor, but I may give it a try.

Now I've just gotta see if this'll go with uprated injector nozzles!

It was just a rough rounding up by me. Based on some of the more reputable folk on the market and I've prob added a bit cos I plan for the worst!

But if you know of a decent and reliable tweaker that can remap for less, please do let me know!
