    Good morning all

Hoping for a little help, I have a 2002 Audi a4 with the 1.9 tdi pd engine.

I fuelled up yesterday as the fuel gauge was well into the red, after fuelling up (over £60) the fuel gauge is still telling me its in the red....even though I know I have just fuelled up!

The gauge moved a little when I started the car up but no where near enough to reflect the amount of fuel that has just been pumped into the car.

I'm hoping that there is a quick easy fix and it doesn't have to go into the workshop.

    Thanks guys

Sounds as though the fuel sender has dropped too far and has jammed, have you tried ragging the car left/right in quick succession to free the fuel sender? Obviously in an empty car park or somewhere sensible. Other than that you'll have open it up and do it manually.

Thanks mate, first thing I tried and it didn't help. Saw another post recommending you reset the fuel pump and instrument panel by removing fuses number 15 and 28. That did the trick and now it's back to normal. Thanks for the advise pal.
