My rear door on my golf is deadlocked shut.
Wont open with the fob or drivers switch.
To add to the problem I think the module is draining my battery.

Anyone any idea how to open it, as removing the door panel from the inside will probably result in damage and a bad temper!

The only real way that i know of is to hack the door panel off. I have been told by my garage they do atleast one a week where the lock module has failed shut. I would suggest you source a new door card and get dismantling.

My gosh, finally got the door open.
I would not wish this task on anyone.
Had to smash the hell out of the lock from the inside whilst squashed up like a sardine.
Still got to remove the whole mechanism but need a tiny spline key to remove the rear outer door handle.
    What a bad design.
