Hi to you all, I have just jumped across from the VW Passat forum to mention the New Skoda Superb and to apologise

I own a 2006 Passat 2.0Tdi Sport Estate and its an "ok" car but not great, I have not been happy with quality as it rattles and shakes like some kids toy and its noisy. Anyway, I have recently been looking through the car pages to see what I would like next. The usual came up up Audi, BMW etc then I saw a New Skoda Superb and I thought it looked quite nice. So I popped in to a local dealer yesterday to have a closer look.

Well I have to say, firstly, the staff were very friendly and helpful and secondly, the car itself was better than I thought. It had all the toys, Leather, Cruise, Satnav etc and when I got in the back I thought the rep had pushed the drivers seat forward so I have more leg room but this was not the case, I was almost lying down I have never been in a car with so much room.

This is where I have to apologise to all you Skoda drivers, I am (was) a badge snob and I'm sorry because after I drove that car for only a few minutes I thought it was one of the best cars I've driven, it was quiet, comfortable and had more toys than Toys R Us. I can also confirm it is better put together than my Passat in every way. I also nearly hit the deck when he told me that the model I was driving was a 58 Plate fully loaded Elegance for "only" £19k

I hope you don't mind me having a say, Skoda is now top of my list for my next car. I'm hoping for a longer test drive next time and hopefully I can persuade the wife to join me
