Can anyone shed some light on how the (optional) front foglights would have been wired up on my 1998 Passat?. I was given two new headlamp units to replace my original faded opaque ones, and they are for front fogs (the main beam has a H4 60/55w bulb so the dipped 55w part acts as the fog) so I thought I would fit them. The new units have 6 pin female sockets, so do the original male 6 pin plugs, and I have fitted the 2 stage pull lighting switch for front & rear fogs. Can't get them to work, there is power leaving the switch (yellow wire) but none arriving at the 6 pin socket. Should there be another relay?

You need the foglight relay. Should be position 10 in the relay box.
