Highest MPG on DIS?

What the highest mpg figure you've had on your DIS?

I currently run a Sept. 2005 B7 A4 2.0 TDI 140 S-Line saloon on 18's.

Best figure I've had was in the summer of

66.4 mpg!

Hi,

That's a great figure, but surely that was going down a declining stretch of road with no acceleration etc? How long did it stay at that figure for?

Really, you have to look at the average MPG to get an accurate picture as on most roads, the MPG is constantly affected by the slightest incline / decline.

Sit there with your foot ever so lightly on the accelerator and you can get it above 100

It'll go as high as 200mpg I've noticed. If you leave it in gear and coast it gives a '---' reading.

But my average is still only just over 40mpg (2007 2.0 TDI Avant) and it has to be said I thought it would be better. I was expecting 50mpg average.

Sorry forgot to mention. That reading was over an 8 mile journey of varying roads, not just a visible reading!

That is the figure I actually averaged!

The question is how does he drive it?

On average I do get 29 to 30 MPG

I wouldn't believe the DIS as far as I could throw it...

Mine used to report 55+ but my calcs said 43... After correcting it with VAG-COM it is now accurate...

As for low MPG - try 9.8 in my 350z after ragging it quite a bit!
