Anyone have problem with headlights going out on the A4? I have a 99 A4 quatro and was driving home last night when headlights went out. All other lights worked: taillights, parking lights, dash, etc. I found if I held dimmer switch back the headlights worked as long as I held it back. This morning all lights worked fine, including headlights. Anyone have any idea what is going on? All fuses seemed to be fine.

"if I held the dimmer switch back"

That's what I'd be looking at first. Dodgy switch.
