After getting my new 19 year old coupe in at work tonight and up in the air I happened to notice one of the fuel lines was rotted through to the point that it was moist with fuel all the time, carried out a temp repair on it but was wondering where I can get fuel lines for cars as old as this nowadays as can find nowt on the internet.

A question that is in my head is that I have seen fuel high pressure rubber hose for sale, is this any good to run from the back to the front of the car or does it have to be the metal pipes ? ta

It depends on the injection system, medium pressure electronic or high pressure mechanical. On the electronic injection you can get away with replacing the lines using nylon thin wall or rubber but not on K-Jet.

The feed is 5 bar, the return very low pressure. Whatever, it must be done the right way. Think of it this way, last weekend seven people were burnt to death in car accidents, it depends on the way you wish to shed your mortal coil…

All very well but K-Jet lines have pre formed bolt on couplings so slip on lines with band clamps are not good enough no matter how high the hose is rated.

Yea given the previous post regarding the line pressure I feel that that internet site reference is no good anyway as per above post. So deffo need to get the metal pipe work then and guessing all the unions due to 19 odd years of water ingress. fingers crossed my local audio dealer still lists them then, thanks for your help crasher, very helpful.

I had the same problem on my Audi 100. Phoned my local Audi dealer who quoted me between £100 - £150 for the two pipes. They are still available-at least for my car. Worth a call to Audi ?
