    Hi,
    Scanned a friends Golf mk3 Tdi engine code AHU and it has come up with the following code:
    1 Fault Found:
    01265 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve (N18)
    31-10 - Open or Short to Ground - Intermittent
    Readiness: N/A

    Nothing listed on Ross Tech Wiki so was wondering if anyone had any pointers on where to start.

    Edit: My bad, just realised that it's an older Golf!


    Do you know if he has recently had the emissions fix done on his vehicle?
    If so, it could be a fault caused by the fix that VAG are aware of, but reluctant to talk about.
    I found out from a friend who works for an independent VAG garage but there is more information here:

    Not on a Mk3 Golf it won't , lol .

    Pull the egr actuator vac line and plug the line..
