Hi can anyone please tell me why the rear doors will not unlock even though the buttons pop up when I double press the blip. This seems to be a random problem - I have only just purchased my 2000 golf gt TDi 110. Its a great car I just cant get in the back !! Any thoughts much appreciated.

have you actually managed to get them open? if so, you need to take a look at the catches as they tend to stick a little... could be something as simple as a little grease/lube being needed

If/when you get them open, get the door cards off and see if the cable has slipped off the internal opener.

Easier to see and do than it is to explain.

Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.

Thanks for the advice - the doors are now and have been working fine for a couple of days. I wonder if lack of use could be the cause as it was owned prior to me by a single man with no children - suspect he never opened the rear doors. Thanks again and when I get a minute I'll do all your suggested checks.
