    hi to all, i need some help with my golf mk3, engine code ADY 2.0l 8v, it got a missfire at 3000-4000 rpm and a slight missfire at idle, ive changed the coil pack,rotor arm,cap,leads,plugs,cat,lambda sensor,cts sensor, im getting a fault code of 00537- lambda control upper stop valve, eney help on this would be great as its doing my head in, ive also checked the timing,air leaks,fuel pressere, thanks james

    Hi Think you might have a problem with one of the injectors do you know how to check them

    Hi That is one way to start,but to check the injectors properly,you must remove them and check out how they function.You will see how much each injector delivers,and their patteren of the fuel delivery.It would seem you have done the most of everything else,and the fault code table points to the injectors.If you have diagnostic equipment go to measured block values and you can see the the operating condition for the lambda probe.I can send you the details if you send your e-mail address

    Hi,

    my name is martin and i am from germany. I was searchig thru the web to find any information about a DTC 00537 because i have the same problem with my golf gti like somebody in this forum and i saw that you gave him some introduction to solve the problem

    It will be realy kind, if you Could please tell me, what you could do to solve the problem, because i changed a lot of things the last three months, but nothing could help to solve the problems. I can´t use the car for three months ago

    We didi checked: lamda sensor + cable; oxygen-sensor + cable; timing;air leaks;fuel pressere; electric ignition; compression ( 13,5/13,5/13,5/13)

    The fault code 00537 can show two explanations,ie lambda control upper limit value and lower limit value,which reading did you get?What symptoms does the engine have?

    Hi everyone, I'm new here and I need your help. I have the same problem, fault code 00537, lamba (oxygen sensor) regulation 18-00 - Upper limit. what can I do?
