Cigarette lighter not working...

....has anyone experienced this before? What are the possible faults?

lol...yep same hear...thought i was the only one with this...infact i think ive had almost every fault with my bloody car!

still, i have no idea whats so ever as to why this has happend...ive just left it...can anyone else shed any light?

As have I it would seem - the most annoying being the windows having a life of their own!! Will have to try some of the suggestions on here before proceeding to be ripped off by the extortionate fees at the garage.

I noticed the problems with the cigarette lighter after I had (not surprising) gone to have another problem fixed. Don't know if this is pertinent to this problem but the warning light on the dash saying the bonnet was open was permenantly on and the wipers would not work when the car was stationary. Suffice to say I have had these two fixed but now have the problem.

So any suggestions most welcome.

Presume you've checked all the fuses?

Check 20amp fuse position 42. The wipers are constructed that they will not work, if the bonnet is open.(the warning light on the dash saying the bonnet was open was permenantly on)
