Low Washer Fluid warning on permanently. Where is sensor located?

Hi there,
After a trip to the French Alps this Xmas and temps below -9 deg C, the low washer fluid warning symbol is now permanently displayed on my 08 plate A3 sportwagon with electronic dashboard display. (Not fitted with headlamp wash)

It was fine before the trip.
I suspect the water in the reservoir froze at some point.
Could this have damaged the sensor?
The reservoir isn't leaking as I filled it to the brim and left it overnight. It was still full in the morning.
The windscreen washer pump works fine.

Is it an easy job to replace the sensor, or is it a whole new reservoir assembly?

You can replace the sensor on its own but if its an 08 car surely you should take it back under warranty?

Hi Issac,

Just thought if the sensor was easy to get to, I could take a quick look and see if a gentle tap or quick fix might bring it back to life.

Anything else and I will get it into the dealer for them to sort out!!!
